A CFTE PROGRAM

Massachusetts
Trauma Healing
Coalition

A cross-sector network making trauma care accessible to the people of Massachusetts โ€” without barriers of cost, diagnosis, distance, or time. Simple, validated, and available in daily life.

ย

WHY THIS COALITION EXISTS

Far more people experience trauma than have access to care. We are changing that.

The Massachusetts Trauma Healing Coalition is a network of organizations, researchers, clinicians, community leaders, and public health officials working toward a single shared goal: creating installations of trauma care across the state that people can encounter in their daily lives โ€” no diagnosis required, low or no cost, no need to travel or take time off work.

Convened by Dave Emerson, Co-Founder of CFTE, and now officially a CFTE program, the coalition brings together more than two dozen partner organizations across healthcare, academia, environmental justice, public health, and community advocacy.

"This coalition exists because far more people experience traumatic events than have access to available care. Our shared mission is to create a network of installations across the state that make it as easy as possible for people to encounter simple, validated elements of trauma care in their daily lives without needing to jump through hoops โ€” no diagnosis, low or no cost, no need to travel or take time off work. My hope is that we can normalize access to trauma care for as many people as possible, especially those who are currently shut out."
